Introduction:
The Union Minister of State For Culture and Tourism Shri Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurated the “Thenzawl Golf Resort”project. This was a virtual inauguration and will be implemented under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme.
Highlights:
- The Golf Course at Thenzawl is 105 acres.75 acres of the play area is designed by Graham Cooke and Associates which is one of the top most Golf Course architectural firm.
- The play area will be equipped with 18 Hole Golf Course with Sharing Fairway and automated sprinkling system by Rain Bird USA.
- There are 30 eco-log huts, cafeteria, open-air food court, reception area and a waiting lounge, all constructed with Siberian pinewood.
- However,quality golfing experience and international facilities at a reasonable price will be the major attractions.
- Currently, India boasts over 220 golf courses. With this new project, the tourism ministry of India aims to promote golf tourism as a niche product for attracting both international and domestic tourists.
